What is ISO 9001:2008?

ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally-recognized quality standard that specifies requirements for an organization's quality management system.

What does that mean to me, the consumer?

It means Halo passed extensive process and procedure audits, proving its ability to consistently provide a product that meets or exceeds all applicable customer requirements, as well as applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. In short, it means Halo has specific business processes in place that are consistently followed to ensure that you, the consumer, have the best product experience possible.

What else does it mean?

ISO 9001:2008 Certification is required by certain states to meet their accreditation requirement for licensing. One specific example is the Uniform Debt Management Services Act (UDMSA). Without an accreditation such as the ISO 9001:2008 Certification, Halo wouldn’t be able to operate in certain states. But since Halo is ISO 9001:2008 Certified, Halo can help more consumers in more states.

Is ISO 9001:2008 Certification required for all Debt Relief companies?

Not in all states. But Halo thinks it should be! In fact, Halo currently supports numerous legislative efforts to strengthen the licensing requirements for Debt Relief companies. If you’re considering the services of other Debt Relief organizations in addition to Halo, be sure and ask to see proof of their ISO 9001:2008 Certification. If the organization is not ISO 9001:2008 Certified, you may want to carefully consider other Debt Relief alternatives.
